The re-assignment of this WWW domain address to the Goggle Cloud Server has been initiated once again. New buffer type level software acquired now from CloudFlare Company, adding to the food chain and re-assigning with a newly assigned different I.P. address.

HACKED WITHIN 2 DAYS
The re-assignment of this WWW domain address to the Goggle Cloud Server has been initiated. and we were immediately attacked and hacked. So work has been halted until we understand what needs to now be done.

The forum software has been uploaded from the phpBB vendor, and is being organized into a coherent format. We have created and activated a Google Cloud account, have been assigned a 10 GB virtual server with I.P. address, begun to activate virtual data base, and secured an virtual hard drive with capacity also at 10 GB.

We have decided to procced with securing a server from Google Cloud, with minimal data, and hard drive space, based on options, cost and expandability. The caveat is that it has a limited period of 60 days, prior to incurring any fees. To then begin loading chosen Bulletin Board software such as Vbulletin or phpBB

It has become clear this project can not be done correctly on a shoe string budget, based on new needs for cloud server, cloud data base, adequate sized cloud hard drive, and software fees. It seems previous Admin since 2004 absorbed this cost, or made profit thru advertisements. So decision point is at hand here now

We have now discovered our "I.T." skills are weak, and a new education has begun. Plan A & B detoured. The new road map is to first secure a cloud based server ($), then load Apache software, then secure a virtual data base ($) with adequate virtual hard drive space ($). We have found a "Free" open source Forum software platform. We have now opened an account to understand their product. It appears to have been the exact same provider the previous admin had used. We intend to publish a rudimentary board this weekend to allow all to log in as before to see who remains active.

We have chosen a software provider and created an account with the Vbulletin server. They offer a subscription service to provide a Forum Software Platform identical to what existed before. A free demo has been activated and will be available for 7 days. Beyond that time a actual purchase needs to be transacted.

What happened to the Investors Iraq Forum board?
The previous management has abandoned this internet property after 19 years of administration. It then fell into receivership, and has been sold through an auction process by the "GoDaddy.com" mainframe server.
After sale closure, a mandatory 30 day waiting period occurred, and has now concluded as of August 25, 2023.
